Requirements

  • University degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with wafer fabrication processes
  • Experience with equipment development, process development, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience developing stable, scalable wafer-based manufacturing processes
  • Experience with patterned polymer or organic layer deposition
  • Experience with metal deposition and output monitoring
  • Experience establishing process controls, metrologies, and design rules
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process transfer

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Exposure to microfabrication or MEMS processes
  • Experience with photolithography, thin-film deposition, and patterning techniques
  • Experience developing a process from concept through transfer to manufacturing
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience programming, running, or troubleshooting automated equipment
  • Experience with machine vision and automated metrology tools
  • Experience with Design for Reliability Manufacturing, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, or Green Belt/Black Belt Lean Sigma certification
  • Knowledge of DOE, statistical analysis methods, and data analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP

Responsibilities

  • Develop and transfer stable, cost-effective, scalable wafer-based processes into manufacturing
  • Develop and support wafer fabrication processes
  • Perform experiments to establish robust manufacturing processes
  • Evaluate process capabilities and interactions with upstream and downstream processes
  • Define equipment needs, tooling needs, and operator interactions
  • Establish design rules, metrologies, process controls, and high-volume production strategies
  • Provide process input to design teams
  • Lead innovation, development, and optimization of manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures
  • Apply Design for Reliability Manufacturing and data-driven methods during process development
  • Support scouting, feasibility work, material selection, process selection, equipment selection, tooling, fixture development, and equipment installation
  • Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control
  • Develop measurement systems and statistical process control techniques
  • Perform equipment qualifications, including IQ
  • Perform process validations, including process characterization, OQ, and PQ
  • Perform gage R&R studies and test method validation activities
  • Apply statistical methods to design experiments and implement process improvements
  • Monitor, root cause, and resolve process yield issues
  • Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in manufacturing areas
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process production issues
  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology target specifications
  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods, costs, and schedules
  • Coordinate with product design and development teams to ensure process and design compatibility
  • Generate and maintain quality system documentation
  • Ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations


Pay Details: $60.00 to $80.00 per hour
