Product Quality Engineer
Quality assurance engineering role focused on AS9102 first article inspection, corrective action review, nonconforming material resolution, supplier quality, and spaceflight or airborne assembly quality.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline
AS9102 First Article Inspection experience
QA-01.1.1 First Article Inspection review and approval experience
Experience reviewing corrective action responses
Experience evaluating corrective action performance
Experience with quality evaluation systems
Experience with quality control systems and protocols
Experience supporting electro-optical, electronic, or mechanical assemblies
Experience with nonconforming material review and correction
Experience with root cause and corrective action processes
Experience supporting Quality Assurance activities for complex hardware builds
Experience reviewing drawings and test procedures for quality requirements

Job Responsibilities
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation systems, control systems, and protocols
Manage program Quality Assurance activities
Support build, installation, and testing of software, hardware, and integrated systems
Lead review and correction of nonconforming materials and assemblies
Validate processes and products using established quality assurance policies, plans, and procedures
Develop and implement audit plans for internal policy, program, and regulatory compliance
Track and analyze quality data to identify process improvement opportunities and quality issues
Lead disposition, root cause evaluation, corrective action, and preventive action activities
Lead and execute First Article Inspection activities in accordance with AS9102
Plan First Article Inspection activities
Review design and manufacturing requirements for First Article Inspection packages
Prepare and validate First Article Inspection packages
Coordinate First Article Inspection activities with cross-functional teams
Resolve First Article Inspection nonconformances to support compliant product introduction and production readiness
Interface with quality representatives during build and test activities
Support issue resolution during build and test activities
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action activities
Lead Material Review Board and Failure Review Board meetings
Participate in Independent Review Board sessions
Manage supplier quality through supplier assessments, source selection, supplier quality management, and APQP tools
Establish and maintain quality codes to support procurement
Perform supplier hardware inspections
Provide supplier process improvement guidance
Support design, production, and test of space systems hardware through design reviews, requirements validation, and mission or system risk analysis
Support quality forecasting, cost and schedule execution, issue resolution, and quality improvement initiatives
Pay: 31-42/hr

Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
