Lead mechanical design, analysis, testing, certification, and product development activities for aerospace and high-pressure pneumatic or hydraulic systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

  • 3+ years of product design, product development, or production troubleshooting experience

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks

  • Proficiency with GD&T

  • Experience with several of the following:

    • Aerospace new product introduction processes

    • Aerospace regulatory standards

    • DFSS methodologies

    • APQP methodologies

    • Failure analysis

    • High-pressure pneumatic systems

    • High-pressure hydraulic systems

    • Valve design

    • Static and dynamic sealing technologies

    • Stress and performance analysis

    • Static, dynamic, fatigue, or vibration analysis

    • Steady-state or dynamic system modeling

    • Electromechanical systems, including solenoids

    • Control systems

    • Thermodynamics

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

  • DFSS Green Belt certification

  • DFSS Black Belt certification

  • Aerospace new product introduction experience

  • Experience with high-pressure pneumatic or hydraulic systems

  • Experience developing production-ready mechanical designs

  • Experience applying DFSS principles

  • Experience managing critical-to-quality requirements

  • Experience designing for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency

  • Experience developing engineering standards and best practices

  • Experience serving as a technical lead on large or multiple projects

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, testing, and certification activities within cost and schedule targets

  • Develop concepts into production-ready designs

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks using data-driven decisions

  • Apply DFSS principles to product design and development activities

  • Manage critical-to-quality requirements

  • Design products for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency

  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and program management teams

  • Develop engineering standards and best practices

  • Mentor junior engineers

  • Provide technical leadership for assigned projects

Pay: 40-54/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
