Verification and Validation Engineer responsible for testing, integration, verification, validation, and reporting for electromechanical medical devices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or related engineering field
  • Vocational education in Information Technology or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience may be considered
  • Experience with system architecture, system design, hardware engineering, verification, validation, or related technical areas
  • Experience developing Verification & Validation test plans
  • Experience writing test procedures
  • Experience creating requirements trace matrices
  • Experience writing test reports
  • Experience validating test methods
  • Working knowledge of global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and embedded software system components
  • Experience testing electromechanical devices at the part, sub-system, and system level
  • Ability to translate system requirements into measurable test cases
  • Experience with functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Experience investigating test issues and supporting root cause analysis
  • Ability to support Verification & Validation technicians

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Verification & Validation activities for new and updated medical devices
  • Design, develop, evaluate, integrate, test, and verify product elements across mechanical, electrical, and embedded software systems
  • Define, implement, and maintain reliable and reproducible testing methodologies and equipment
  • Execute system tests, including functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Follow established test plans, test procedures, and quality requirements
  • Translate system requirements into defined, measurable test cases
  • Develop test cases covering functionality, system interactions, and edge cases
  • Assess and test requirements for electromechanical medical devices at the part, sub-system, and system level
  • Investigate test issues and support issue resolution
  • Assist Verification & Validation technicians during test execution and analysis
  • Modify, create, or prioritize test cases based on system complexity and evolving requirements
  • Coordinate validation activities to support product reliability and release readiness
  • Maintain formal test documentation, including test plans, procedures, requirements trace matrices, and reports
  • Validate test methods according to applicable procedures and regulatory expectations
  • Support compliance with quality requirements and medical device standards
  • Maintain technical knowledge through training, technical literature, industry contacts, and competitive analysis


Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
