Design Technician III supporting product development through 3D CAD design, prototype modification, testing, and design-for-manufacturing improvements.

  • Job Requirements:

    • Experience with 3D CAD design using Creo or SolidWorks

    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements

    • Experience building, assembling, and modifying prototypes

    • Experience executing mechanical and functional testing on components and assemblies

    • Ability to document test methods, results, and observations accurately

    • Advanced understanding of design for manufacturability and design for assembly

    • Experience with lab equipment such as force gauges, torque tools, and environmental testing equipment

    • Understanding and application of GD&T

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    • Experience in regulated environments such as medical device or aerospace

    • Familiarity with PLM systems or document control processes

  • Job Responsibilities:

    • Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to improve products and support manufacturing and field service operations

    • Create and revise models and drawings using CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks

    • Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, materials, and planning teams

    • Support ease of manufacture, material availability, and contractual specification requirements during design work

    • Build, assemble, and modify prototypes

    • Execute mechanical and functional testing on components and assemblies

    • Document test methods, results, and observations

    • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot design issues

    • Support design verification and validation activities

Pay: 31-42/hr

Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
