Controls Engineer responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLC/HMI control systems for custom machinery.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of controls engineering experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs.
  • Experience with RSLogix and/or Studio 5000.
  • Experience with FactoryTalk HMI systems.
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based industrial control systems.
  • Experience with servo and motion control systems.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Knowledge of industrial networking, including EtherNet/IP.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities for startup and commissioning activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with custom machinery or special machine builders.
  • Omron PLC programming experience.
  • Experience with Keyence vision and sensor systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PLC/HMI control systems for custom machinery from initial concept through commissioning.
  • Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC systems.
  • Develop HMI applications using FactoryTalk.
  • Program and support Omron PLC platforms when required.
  • Configure and program Keyence vision and sensor systems.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
  • Program and integrate servo systems, motion controls, and VFDs.
  • Configure and troubleshoot EtherNet/IP and other industrial communication networks.
  • Perform on-site equipment startup, debugging, and commissioning.
  • Support control system integration with mechanical and electrical machine systems.
  • Create and maintain control narratives, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and related technical documentation.


Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
