Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 10+ years of aviation or aerospace electro-mechanical design experience

  • Experience designing system architectures for integrated mechanical systems

  • Experience with hydraulic winches, cargo lifting components, or related mechanical systems

  • Experience producing technical documentation aligned with MIL-810 standards

  • Product development experience within ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality frameworks

  • Finite Element Analysis experience using ANSYS

  • Experience with detailed weight analysis

  • Experience with structural loads assessment

  • Creo computer-aided design experience

  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability principles

  • Experience with vibration analysis

  • Experience with fatigue analysis

  • Experience with EMI testing procedures

  • Experience with design configuration management practices

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

  • Project management experience

  • Financial and budget tracking experience

  • Experience with rapid prototyping

  • Experience with performance testing

  • Experience with advanced materials

  • Experience with specialized coatings or surface treatments

  • Experience managing product development lifecycles

Job Responsibilities

  • Design system architectures for innovative products and integrated mechanical systems

  • Develop hydraulic winch and cargo lifting component designs

  • Generate equipment specifications based on project and client requirements

  • Create conceptual and detailed design models

  • Perform engineering calculations for forces, moments, and structural stresses

  • Execute mechanical design services using 3D solid modeling

  • Perform computer simulations for mechanical systems and components

  • Support rapid prototyping and performance testing activities

  • Author technical documentation required for design, testing, and compliance

  • Ensure project adherence to applicable standards and quality requirements

  • Research and integrate advanced materials, coatings, and surface treatments for future product lines

  • Oversee project lifecycles from initial concept through final delivery

  • Manage project plans for compliance with regulatory specifications and internal quality requirements

  • Apply ANSYS-based FEA to validate designs

  • Conduct weight analysis and structural loads assessments

  • Apply Creo CAD tools to support design and manufacturability

  • Support vibration, fatigue, and EMI testing activities

  • Maintain design configuration management documentation and practices

Pay: 120k-125k
