Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Lead structural engineering design for industrial steel, concrete, power, and oil and gas projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and project requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead structural design efforts for industrial, power, and oil and gas projects

• Review structural calculations, models, drawings, and design documents

• Ensure structural plans comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, presentations, technical specifications, and scopes of work

• Analyze site investigation data to support risk mitigation plans

• Design temporary structures as needed for project execution

• Develop material takeoffs for steel, concrete, and geotechnical work

• Support field walkdowns, construction activities, and commissioning efforts

• Coordinate structural design requirements with architects, clients, and cross-functional project teams

• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Job Requirements

• 12+ years of structural engineering experience in power, industrial, oil and gas, or related environments

• Experience leading industrial steel and concrete structural projects

• Knowledge of applicable structural codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

• Experience reviewing structural calculations, models, and design packages

• Experience with steel, concrete, and geotechnical scopes of work

• Experience supporting field walkdowns, construction, or commissioning

• Professional Engineer license preferred

• Structural Engineer registration preferred

Preferred Skills

• AutoCAD experience

• STAAD.Pro experience

• RISA experience

• Enercalc experience

• Experience with similar structural analysis software

• Familiarity with 3D design and viewing software, including Navisworks

• Power industry project experience

• Oil and gas project experience

Pay: 65-75/hr

Pay Details: $65.00 to $75.00 per hour
