Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for 3D CAD design, engineering calculations, BOM development, drawing control, and technical support for industrial capital equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience with 3D SolidWorks.

  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of sheet metal and structural design.

  • Knowledge of conveyance, heating, and washing systems.

  • Experience preparing bills of materials and assembly drawings.

  • Experience performing mechanical design calculations for structural, conveyance, heating, or washing systems.

  • Experience processing drawing releases and revisions.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Experience with industrial ovens, washers, or material handling equipment.

  • Experience creating and maintaining standard drawings.

  • Experience with component selection for industrial equipment.

  • Experience working with vendors on component sourcing and manufacturing capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate 3D mechanical designs and drawings using SolidWorks.

  • Prepare bills of materials and assembly drawings.

  • Select components based on design and performance requirements.

  • Perform calculations for conveyance, washing, heating, and structural systems.

  • Process drawing releases and revisions to drawings and bills of materials.

  • Review engineering drawings and design calculations.

  • Obtain vendor quotes for purchased components.

  • Support purchasing activities for component procurement.

  • Provide technical support to sales and manufacturing functions.

  • Maintain project drawing files, folders, and drawing archives.

  • Create and maintain standard engineering drawings.

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding manufacturing capabilities and component requirements.



Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
