Field Engineer
Construction Project Engineer responsible for coordinating facility construction projects, monitoring schedules and field activities, and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and regulations.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

5+ years of related engineering, construction, or project coordination experience.

Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to:

Safety

Electrical systems
-
Mechanical systems
-
Plumbing systems
-
Building codes
-

Experience monitoring construction schedules and critical path activities.

Experience reviewing construction work for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Experience preparing project status reports and construction documentation.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience with Microsoft Project.
-
Experience supporting multidisciplinary facility or construction projects.
Preferred Skills
-
10+ years of related experience.

Experience with automotive plant construction.
-
Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC).
-
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Familiarity with NFPA standards.

Experience coordinating general contractors, vendors, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams.

Experience with industrial facility construction.
-
Experience leading assigned construction or engineering task teams.
-
Experience supporting turnkey engineering or facility improvement projects.
Job Responsibilities

Support engineering teams with construction project coordination.
-
Track project schedules and critical path activities.
-
Monitor construction progress against established project milestones.
-
Observe field construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, engineering practices, codes, and regulations.

Prepare weekly project status reports.

Document project progress using photographs, schedule look-ahead information, action items, and issue logs.

Track outstanding construction issues and project concerns.
-
Coordinate construction activities between engineering teams, general contractors, vendors, and maintenance personnel.

Review field conditions and identify deviations from design documentation.
-
Support resolution of construction, engineering, and schedule-related issues.

Maintain project documentation and construction records.

Lead and coordinate assigned project task teams.

Support implementation of facility improvements and turnkey engineering solutions.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
