Supplier Reliability Engineer (Electronics Components)

Supplier Warranty Data Engineer responsible for analyzing supplier warranty performance, supporting corrective actions, and using field and service data to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• 4+ years of experience with automotive supplier warranty data.

• Experience with statistical analysis of warranty, quality, or vehicle performance data.

• Experience supporting supplier warranty programs or supplier quality activities.

• Knowledge of AIAG, VDA, APQP, and related automotive quality tools.

• Experience analyzing field data, warranty claims, service data, and supplier performance metrics.

• Experience with supplier corrective action processes.

• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools.

• Experience with Hex, Databricks, JIRA, or similar software and data platforms.

• Experience performing technical root-cause and trend analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience establishing and tracking supplier warranty KPIs.

• Experience with Warranty Supplier Corrective Action Request processes or similar corrective action systems.

• Experience with automotive vehicle attribute performance analysis.

• Experience generating recurring supplier performance reports.

• Experience conducting ad-hoc analysis and technical deep dives into vehicle or service-related issues.

• Experience integrating warranty, quality, field, and service-center data for analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Support technical activities associated with supplier warranty partnership programs.

• Analyze field and warranty data to identify product quality issues and warranty cost drivers.

• Partner with supplier quality teams to develop, retrieve, and analyze supplier warranty data.

• Support supplier corrective action activities using warranty-related corrective action processes.

• Define data requirements needed to identify and address supplier warranty concerns.

• Support the development and tracking of supplier warranty KPIs.

• Perform detailed analysis of specific vehicle technical issues and service-center operations.

• Enter and maintain supplier warranty agreement, claim, evidence, and performance data.

• Generate recurring supplier performance reports using Hex, Databricks, and related analytics tools.

• Analyze supplier warranty data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for improvement.

• Gather warranty and quality data from internal technical teams to support program requirements.

• Collect technical information from suppliers related to warranty claims and performance issues.

• Investigate discrepancies in supplier warranty data and supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, supplier quality teams, and service organizations to improve warranty data quality and program performance.

• Track supplier performance against established warranty metrics and corrective action requirements.

Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
