Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer responsible for system architecture, requirements allocation, electrical system design, modeling, and qualification support for aerospace electromechanical applications.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

• 3+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or a comparable high-technology manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 2 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting electromechanical aerospace applications.

• Experience defining system requirements for aerospace parts and systems.

• Experience allocating aircraft-level performance requirements to system components.

• Experience with electrical system design for new production and retrofit applications.

• Experience with analog circuit analysis.

• Experience with failure modes analysis.

• Experience supporting prototype hardware builds.

• Experience supporting qualification testing.

• Ability to travel occasionally, including domestic and international travel.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MATLAB.

• Experience with Simulink.

• Experience with DOORS.

• Experience with system performance modeling and prediction.

• Experience with control system architecture.

• Experience with requirements tracking and verification.

• Experience supporting aerospace electrical system development.

• Experience with design-for-manufacturability and reliability evaluation.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture design activities for aerospace electromechanical systems.

• Develop and evaluate control system approaches based on aircraft performance requirements.

• Allocate system-level requirements to electrical and mechanical components.

• Perform system performance prediction and requirements tracking.

• Lead internal system design decisions based on technical and customer requirements.

• Coordinate electrical system designs for new production and retrofit applications.

• Evaluate system capability and electrical performance.

• Perform analog circuit analysis and failure modes analysis.

• Support prototype hardware development and build activities.

• Support qualification and verification testing.

• Perform MATLAB and Simulink simulation modeling.

• Develop technical documentation and engineering proposals.

• Support electrical design reviews for manufacturability, functionality, reliability, requirement compliance, assembly, and cost objectives.

• Coordinate engineering activities across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems disciplines.

Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
