CAD Designer

CAD Designer responsible for creating and revising detailed CAD models and drawings based on engineering instructions, sketches, layouts, and project requirements.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Technology, Drafting, or a related field, or completion of a related vocational or technical high school program.

• Experience creating models and drawings using CAD software.

• Proficiency with at least one CAD platform.

• Basic knowledge of drafting practices and procedures.

• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Experience interpreting sketches, layouts, and engineering instructions.

• Experience revising models and drawings based on engineering or project updates.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Siemens NX.

• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting.

• Experience creating manufacturing or engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of drawing standards, dimensioning, and tolerance practices.

• Experience working with engineering documentation and revision control.

Job Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and drawings based on engineering instructions, sketches, and layouts.

• Revise existing models and drawings as directed by engineers or project managers.

• Apply established drafting and modeling standards to engineering documentation.

• Incorporate dimensions, tolerances, notes, and other required drawing information.

• Review models and drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

• Update CAD files to reflect engineering changes and revisions.

• Maintain drawing and model documentation throughout the revision process.

• Support engineers with preparation of technical drawings and models for project use.

• Use Siemens NX or other CAD software to complete assigned drafting and modeling tasks.

Pay: 30-35/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
