Mechanical Designer responsible for 3D modeling, fabrication drawings, structural equipment design, and manufacturing support for industrial material and fluid handling systems.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in Drafting/Design or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
  • Autodesk Inventor experience preferred.
  • Experience creating mechanical assemblies and detailed component drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication methods.
  • Experience with structural layouts.
  • Experience with heavy bulk material handling systems.
  • Experience with industrial fluid handling systems.
  • Experience creating bills of materials and fabrication documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Autodesk Inventor experience.
  • Experience designing liquid storage tanks.
  • Experience designing hot oil heaters.
  • Experience designing baghouses or dust collection equipment.
  • Experience designing bulk material handling equipment.
  • Experience supporting field retrofits and custom equipment layouts.
  • Experience with cost-reduction and product enhancement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Develop fabrication drawings and submittal packages.
  • Design liquid storage tanks, hot oil heaters, baghouses, and bulk material handling systems.
  • Apply mechanical and structural design principles to equipment layouts.
  • Ensure designs meet structural integrity, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly activities with technical drawings and design revisions.
  • Resolve equipment design and fabrication issues identified during production or field installation.
  • Maintain design files, bills of materials, and project documentation.
  • Evaluate existing designs for product improvements and cost reductions.
  • Develop design modifications for field retrofits and custom equipment configurations.


Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
