Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience involving automated machinery and production systems.
  • Mid- to senior-level mechanical design or engineering experience.
  • Experience designing complete automation systems and production cells.
  • Experience designing full automation lines rather than only standalone machines, fixtures, tooling, or products.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Experience creating detailed assembly drawings.
  • Experience developing mechanical designs for automated manufacturing equipment.

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or related technical education.
  • Experience designing automotive manufacturing automation.
  • Experience designing powertrain assembly systems.
  • Experience with high-volume production assembly equipment.
  • Experience designing integrated automation cells with multiple machines, stations, and material-handling components.
  • Experience supporting equipment build, installation, and commissioning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design complete automated manufacturing systems and production cells.
  • Develop mechanical layouts for full automation lines.
  • Create 3D models and detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
  • Create and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, guarding, structures, and equipment interfaces.
  • Integrate multiple automated stations into complete production systems.
  • Support design reviews and mechanical design revisions.
  • Provide engineering support during equipment fabrication, assembly, and installation.
  • Resolve mechanical design issues identified during machine build and system integration.


Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
