Job Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing test control systems in a laboratory or test cell environment.
  • Experience with National Instruments VeriStand.
  • Experience with Dewesoft or comparable data acquisition and test automation software.
  • Experience integrating vehicle electrical and electronic control systems with computerized test systems.
  • Experience with test control and data acquisition equipment.
  • Experience designing electronic circuits used to interface test cell controls with vehicle control systems.
  • Experience writing or modifying software for test system integration and automation.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation selection, installation, verification, and calibration practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting test control, instrumentation, data acquisition, and vehicle control system issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting driveline test cells.
  • Experience with automotive or vehicle development testing.
  • Experience developing controls for functional, performance, and durability testing.
  • Experience tuning automated test systems used to control vehicle systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation policy development and laboratory standards.
  • Experience with data analysis software used for test troubleshooting and validation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, construct, and implement complex test control systems and instrumentation packages.
  • Integrate vehicle electrical and electronic control systems into computerized laboratory test systems.
  • Develop overall test cell control systems for functional, performance, and durability testing.
  • Configure and operate test control and data acquisition equipment.
  • Develop and maintain test automation using National Instruments VeriStand, Dewesoft, and related software.
  • Diagnose and resolve test control, data acquisition, instrumentation, and software issues.
  • Design electronic interface circuits between test cell control systems and vehicle control systems.
  • Integrate and tune test systems used to control vehicle systems under development.
  • Write and modify software required for test system integration and operation.
  • Support instrumentation selection and installation for laboratory testing.
  • Establish and maintain instrumentation verification and calibration practices.
  • Develop and maintain instrumentation-related procedures and technical documentation.
  • Monitor test system performance and implement corrective changes as required.


Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
