Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Experience supporting power generation, power plants, or heavy industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with AVEVA E3D.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation.
  • Advanced experience with 2D and 3D electrical design.
  • Experience designing grounding systems.
  • Experience with lighting and power distribution design.
  • Experience developing cable tray and duct bank layouts.
  • Experience developing electrical one-line and three-line diagrams.
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC requirements and applicable electrical industry standards.
  • Experience developing complete electrical construction drawing packages.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with power generation project design.
  • Experience reviewing vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design packages.
  • Experience developing material specifications and contractor scopes of work.
  • Experience performing electrical design checks and drawing reviews.
  • Experience resolving interdisciplinary design conflicts.
  • Experience providing technical direction to junior electrical designers and drafters.
  • Experience supporting electrical design activities during field construction and installation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical design drawings and construction packages for power generation and industrial facility projects.
  • Produce 2D and 3D electrical designs using AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, and MicroStation.
  • Design grounding systems, lighting systems, and power distribution layouts.
  • Develop cable tray routing and duct bank layouts.
  • Prepare electrical one-line and three-line diagrams.
  • Apply NEC requirements and electrical industry standards to design activities.
  • Review vendor drawings, equipment information, and interdisciplinary design documents.
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts between electrical and other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform design checks and drawing quality reviews.
  • Develop material specifications, quantities, and contractor scope documentation.
  • Provide technical support during construction, installation, and field execution.
  • Provide technical direction to junior designers and drafters.
  • Maintain electrical drawings and design documentation throughout project execution.
  • Verify assigned design packages meet project, quality, and applicable technical standards.


Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
