Quality Engineer
Senior Quality Engineer responsible for leading NPI quality planning, product and process risk management, regulatory compliance, quality systems, supplier quality, and manufacturing process improvement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field
5+ years of Quality Engineering experience
Proficiency with FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and APQP
Strong working knowledge of GD&T
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) quality planning
Experience with DFMEA and PFMEA development and maintenance
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP processes
Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, A3, Fishbone, and 5-Why
Experience with Statistical Process Control and process capability analysis, including Cp and Cpk
Experience conducting Gauge R&R and Measurement System Analysis
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems
Experience with corrective action and non-conformance processes
Experience with quality metrics including FPY, DPPM, scrap, rework, and warranty
Preferred Skills
ASQ certification
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Experience with CE Marking requirements, including LVD, EMC, and Machinery Directive requirements
Knowledge of NRTL certifications, including UL, CSA, and ETL
Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and ErP regulations
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience working with third-party testing laboratories and certification bodies
Experience with supplier qualification and supplier quality management
Experience supporting product safety, export control, and environmental compliance
Job Responsibilities
Lead quality planning activities for New Product Introduction programs
Define and manage quality gates throughout the product development lifecycle
Develop and maintain Product Quality Plans aligned with technical and customer requirements
Participate in design reviews and identify product and process quality risks
Coordinate FAI and PPAP activities and associated customer approval processes
Establish inspection criteria, sampling plans, and acceptance requirements for new products
Lead DFMEA activities to identify and mitigate design-related risks
Develop and maintain PFMEAs for manufacturing processes
Track FMEA corrective actions and risk reduction activities
Use FMEA outputs to develop Control Plans and process monitoring strategies
Manage CE technical files and Declaration of Conformity documentation
Support UL, CSA, ETL, and other applicable product certification activities
Monitor applicable regulatory and industry standards for product compliance impacts
Coordinate certification testing with third-party laboratories and certification bodies
Maintain certification and re-certification schedules
Investigate production quality escapes and non-conformances
Perform root cause analysis using 8D, A3, Fishbone, and 5-Why methodologies
Translate engineering design requirements into measurable process controls and inspection criteria
Participate in production readiness reviews for new production lines and tooling changes
Track and analyze FPY, DPPM, scrap, rework, and warranty metrics
Respond to customer corrective action requests, SCARs, CARs, and 8D requirements
Support customer and third-party quality audits
Review customer-specific quality requirements and incorporate requirements into internal and supplier quality plans
Maintain and improve Quality Management System documentation
Develop and maintain Control Plans, inspection instructions, and work instructions
Support internal audits, management reviews, and certification audits
Lead quality-related Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement projects
Support qualification and assessment of new suppliers
Conduct supplier first article evaluations
Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests
Monitor supplier quality performance
Support incoming inspection program development
Conduct Gauge R&R studies and support calibration and measurement system programs
Apply SPC and capability studies to monitor manufacturing processes
Analyze warranty and field return data to identify systemic quality issues and support root cause investigations
Pay: 45-55/hr

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
