Performs advanced structural analysis, life prediction, and technical evaluation of gas turbine hot gas path components to support fleet reliability and availability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 6+ years of relevant engineering design experience.

  • 6+ years of ANSYS Mechanical or equivalent finite element analysis experience.

  • 3+ years of NX CAD experience.

  • Experience performing structural analysis under thermal and mechanical loading conditions.

  • Experience with fatigue, creep, oxidation, fracture mechanics, or component life prediction methods.

  • Experience conducting modal, forced response, and dynamic analyses.

  • Knowledge of GD&T standards.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform dimensional stack-up analysis.

  • Experience with PLM or Teamcenter configuration management systems.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to access export-controlled technical information.

  • Experience working in a service or fleet-support engineering environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Master of Science degree in Engineering.

  • Gas turbine or turbomachinery design experience.

  • Hot Gas Path component engineering experience.

  • Experience supporting or leading Root Cause Analysis investigations.

  • Experience developing Campbell diagrams and evaluating component dynamic behavior.

  • Experience with Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) analysis.

  • Experience evaluating creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics.

  • Experience supporting global engineering or field service teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute high-fidelity finite element analyses for gas turbine hardware.

  • Evaluate turbine components under complex thermal and mechanical boundary conditions.

  • Perform Low Cycle Fatigue, High Cycle Fatigue, creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics analyses.

  • Develop component life predictions and assess structural integrity.

  • Conduct structural, modal, and forced response analyses.

  • Generate and interpret Campbell diagrams and other dynamic evaluation outputs.

  • Support urgent engineering requests from field and fleet support teams.

  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations involving turbine component failures.

  • Identify failure mechanisms and develop long-term engineering corrective actions.

  • Review engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and dimensional stack-ups.

  • Maintain design and configuration data within applicable PLM or Teamcenter systems.

  • Prepare technical analyses, reports, and design review presentations.

  • Present analytical findings and engineering recommendations to technical stakeholders.

  • Support continued reliability and availability of gas turbine fleet components.

Pay: 50-59/hr

Pay Details: $50.00 to $59.00 per hour
