Mechanical Engineer

Supports gas turbine repair engineering, manufacturing quality, non-conformance resolution, and continuous improvement activities within a service center environment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience supporting quality, process control, or manufacturing engineering activities.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with gas turbine design, repair, manufacturing, or service operations.
• Coursework, internship, or project experience related to gas turbine systems.
• Experience with process development for machining, mills, EDM, fixture development, laser cladding, laser ablation, joining, brazing, coating, or inspection technologies.
• Experience with Lean or Kaizen continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with repair engineering documentation and qualification processes.
• Experience with manufacturing non-conformance investigation and resolution.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage repair qualification activities for service center operations.
• Ensure repair processes meet applicable quality and compliance requirements.
• Analyze and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications.
• Support Built in Quality initiatives within repair and manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate repair engineering activities with design, supply chain, manufacturing, and repair technology functions.
• Recommend updates to Repair Engineering Instructions for gas turbine components.
• Support development and maintenance of engineering and repair processes.
• Participate in Kaizen and Lean improvement initiatives.
• Conduct and support Root Cause Analysis investigations for quality and process issues.
• Support manufacturing process improvements related to machining, repair, inspection, joining, coating, and other production technologies.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $51.00 per hour
