Configuration Engineer I (Hybrid)
Manage product structures, Bills of Materials, configuration data, and engineering changes for steam turbine and generator projects throughout the product lifecycle.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Experience with product definition development
Experience with Bill of Materials management
Knowledge of configuration management concepts and processes
Experience with program or project scheduling
Experience supporting field installation or equipment delivery activities
Experience creating and maintaining Engineering Bills of Materials
Experience creating and maintaining Manufacturing Bills of Materials
Experience working with ERP systems
Experience supporting engineering change management processes
Ability to manage product configuration data throughout the project lifecycle
Preferred Skills
Product Lifecycle Management system experience
Experience with gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, or power generation products
Experience with configure-to-order environments
Experience with variant configuration logic
Experience with preliminary BOM reviews
Experience supporting manufacturing and sourcing organizations
Experience implementing new configuration management tools or processes
Experience with Lean or continuous improvement initiatives
Experience monitoring BOM integrity and configuration accuracy
Job Responsibilities
Create and maintain Engineering Bills of Materials and Unit Bills of Materials
Convert and release Manufacturing Bills of Materials to applicable ERP systems
Maintain BOM and configuration data throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and manage project structures for steam turbine and generator equipment
Support configuration management activities for conversion, modification, and uprate projects
Support transition of project scope from commercial and application engineering into execution
Coordinate requisition scope handoff with Project Engineering
Verify logical features and configuration selections within PLM systems
Identify and resolve configuration discrepancies
Support preliminary BOM review activities
Validate standard parts selected through configuration rules
Support configure-to-order processes and direct-release initiatives
Investigate BOM timing, integrity, and data discrepancies affecting manufacturing or sourcing
Perform routine BOM integrity monitoring and reporting
Execute configuration management responsibilities within engineering change processes
Coordinate configuration activities with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering
Support process improvement and Lean initiatives related to product configuration
Maintain configuration activities in accordance with applicable procedures, processes, and contractual requirements
Pay: 30-35/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
