Field Validation Engineer

Perform field testing, validation, troubleshooting, and customer evaluation of agricultural equipment in real-world farming environments.

Job Requirements

• Agricultural or farming background

• Experience operating agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, or similar machinery

• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience

• Experience diagnosing equipment issues in field environments

• Experience interfacing directly with farmers or equipment operators

• Strong computer skills

• Ability to operate large agricultural equipment for extended periods

• Ability to work outdoors in agricultural environments with varying weather, terrain, dust, and noise

• Ability to travel to customer and field locations

• Experience documenting test results and equipment issues

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Farm-raised or farmhand experience

• Experience testing agricultural vehicles or equipment

• Experience with rear boom sprayers

• Experience with software regression testing

• Experience supporting product validation or field test programs

• Experience collecting customer feedback during product evaluations

• Early-career engineering experience within agricultural equipment development

Job Responsibilities

• Operate agricultural equipment in field and test environments

• Perform field validation of rear boom sprayer systems

• Execute defined equipment test sequences

• Perform software regression testing on agricultural equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related equipment issues

• Document test results, failures, observations, and corrective actions

• Communicate field findings to engineering and manufacturing teams

• Support root cause investigation of equipment issues

• Coordinate field evaluations with growers and equipment operators

• Collect and document customer feedback during equipment trials

• Support equipment setup, configuration, and preparation for field testing

• Verify equipment performance under real-world agricultural operating conditions

• Track test issues through resolution and re-test activities

• Support product validation activities across farms, test fields, and customer locations

Pay: 30-40/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
