Job Requirements

  • Experience programming industrial control systems from the ground up
  • Proficiency programming Siemens programmable logic controllers
  • Proficiency developing Siemens human-machine interface applications
  • Advanced experience with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Ability to develop PLC logic without relying on existing programs or templates
  • Ability to create HMI screens, alarms, controls, recipes, and equipment-status displays
  • Experience integrating PLCs, HMIs, industrial equipment, sensors, motor controls, and communication networks
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and process documentation
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC hardware, control logic, HMI applications, and field devices
  • Experience testing and commissioning automated equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC platforms
  • Experience with Siemens WinCC
  • Experience programming safety PLCs and safety functions
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including PROFINET and PROFIBUS
  • Experience with variable-frequency drives, servo systems, and motor controls
  • Experience developing electrical drawings, control narratives, and functional specifications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or process-automation systems

Job Responsibilities

  • Program Siemens PLC systems from initial design through deployment
  • Develop complete HMI applications using Siemens TIA Portal
  • Create PLC sequences, interlocks, alarms, fault handling, and equipment-control logic
  • Configure PLC hardware, input/output modules, communication networks, and field devices
  • Design HMI navigation, equipment screens, alarm displays, status indicators, and operator controls
  • Integrate automation systems with sensors, actuators, drives, motors, and production equipment
  • Test control logic and HMI functionality before deployment
  • Commission automated machinery and control systems
  • Troubleshoot and correct PLC, HMI, network, electrical, and equipment-control issues
  • Modify existing automation programs and implement system upgrades
  • Perform input/output checkout and verify device operation
  • Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, network, and commissioning documentation
  • Back up source code and maintain revision-controlled automation files
  • Support production startup, equipment validation, and post-installation troubleshooting


Pay Details: $32.00 to $43.00 per hour
