Set up and operate Swiss machining equipment to produce and inspect precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Job Requirements

  • 2–6 years of experience operating Swiss-style CNC machines

  • Experience with milling, turning, or grinding operations

  • Experience setting up and operating machine tools

  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, engineering drawings, and specifications

  • Proficiency with machinist hand tools

  • Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection tools

  • Experience with machining process planning

  • Experience inspecting machined components for dimensional compliance

Preferred Skills

  • Experience performing machine offsets and tooling adjustments

  • Experience with CNC program edits

  • Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters

  • Experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and comparators

  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Experience machining close-tolerance components

  • Experience documenting inspection results and production data

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC machines

  • Perform milling, turning, and grinding operations as required

  • Load tooling, fixtures, raw materials, and machine programs

  • Adjust machine offsets and process parameters

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and specifications

  • Plan machining sequences and production processes

  • Measure and inspect finished components using precision inspection equipment

  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and part conformity

  • Replace and adjust worn or damaged cutting tools

  • Identify and correct machining defects and dimensional variation

  • Complete required production and inspection documentation

  • Maintain machine tools, work areas, and assigned equipment

Pay: 27-34/hr

Pay Details: $27.00 to $34.00 per hour
