Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum of four years of electrical, controls, automation, or capital-project engineering experience
  • Experience developing electrical and control-system designs using CAD software
  • Experience programming Rockwell PLC systems
  • Knowledge of GRAFCET, ladder logic, and Structured Text programming
  • Experience with variable-frequency drives and motion-control systems
  • Experience configuring and programming HMI systems
  • Knowledge of industrial control networks and communication protocols
  • Experience managing capital projects from design through installation, commissioning, and acceptance
  • Experience developing project estimates, schedules, equipment specifications, and procurement documentation
  • Availability to support plant shutdowns, installations, commissioning, and startups on weekends or holidays as required

  • SEE Electrical experience
  • Siemens PLC and automation experience
  • Rockwell FactoryTalk View and Machine Edition Studio experience
  • PanelView HMI experience
  • Experience with Control Techniques, SEW MOVIMOT, or Rockwell drive systems
  • Data Highway Plus, ControlNet, and industrial Ethernet experience
  • Vision-system configuration and integration experience
  • Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, or Gocator experience
  • Industrial robotics experience
  • FANUC or ABB robot configuration experience
  • Tire manufacturing or rubber-processing equipment experience
  • Experience supporting preparation, tire-building, curing, or after-cure manufacturing processes

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed electrical designs and automation programs for capital equipment projects
  • Design control panels, electrical systems, network interfaces, and automation architectures
  • Program PLC systems using GRAFCET, ladder logic, and Structured Text
  • Configure HMI applications, drives, motion-control equipment, and industrial communication networks
  • Prepare engineering estimates covering equipment, installation labor, engineering, startup support, and travel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for design, procurement, fabrication, installation, startup, and qualification
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables from electrical, mechanical, automation, and other project contributors
  • Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation for requests for quotation
  • Support equipment procurement, purchase-order development, and supplier progress tracking
  • Review supplier designs, fabrication progress, test results, and equipment acceptance requirements
  • Conduct design studies and pre-project evaluations for electrical and automation upgrades
  • Support equipment safety and ergonomic risk assessments
  • Coordinate onsite equipment reception, installation, commissioning, startup, ramp-up, and final acceptance
  • Manage project costs and track actual spending against approved estimates
  • Provide technical direction to contract engineering resources
  • Support major equipment additions, replacements, and upgrades from project initiation through completion
  • Provide technical training and backup support to plant maintenance teams
  • Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, HMI, drive, network, vision, and robotic system issues during startup
  • Support plant shutdown work and production startup activities
  • Document control-system designs, software revisions, test results, commissioning records, and acceptance criteria


Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
