Controls Engineer
Designs, programs, tests, and supports PLC-based control systems for HVAC and air-handling equipment using Schneider Electric platforms.
Job Requirements
Professional experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or a related field
Experience developing automation solutions using Schneider Electric control platforms
Schneider PLC programming experience
Experience programming PLCs using ladder logic and function block programming
Experience working with HVAC equipment, air-handling systems, or similar electromechanical equipment
Knowledge of industrial control systems and electrical control design
Experience integrating equipment using BACnet and Modbus communication protocols
Ability to develop wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, assembly instructions, and test plans
Knowledge of applicable UL, NEC, and CSA electrical and safety standards
Preferred Skills
Experience developing building automation or HVAC control systems
Experience creating human-machine interfaces, dashboards, and diagnostic displays
Experience supporting products from concept development through manufacturing release
Experience troubleshooting and validating PLC-based control systems
Experience designing controls for manufacturability and field serviceability
Experience integrating sensors, actuators, drives, and electromechanical components
Job Responsibilities
Design control systems for HVAC and air-handling equipment using Schneider Electric platforms
Develop and modify PLC programs using ladder logic and function block programming
Configure BACnet and Modbus communications for equipment and building automation integration
Develop detailed wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Create assembly instructions, control documentation, and validation test plans
Build user interfaces and dashboards for equipment monitoring, diagnostics, and control
Support control-system development from initial concept through manufacturing release
Troubleshoot electrical, software, communication, and equipment-control issues
Conduct system validation testing and verify functional performance
Support manufacturing during control-panel assembly, equipment integration, and product testing
Implement design changes to improve functionality, manufacturability, and system reliability
Verify compliance with UL, NEC, CSA, and applicable electrical safety requirements
Maintain PLC programs, electrical documentation, test records, and product release files
Pay: 40-54/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
