Process Engineer - Materials Science
Develops and improves GMP manufacturing processes through new product qualification, capital equipment support, process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices environment
- Experience with manufacturing process development and process qualification
- Experience supporting new product and material introductions
- Experience with process control and equipment troubleshooting
- Experience supporting capital equipment projects
- Experience creating work instructions, process documentation, and technical specifications
- Experience training production personnel on manufacturing processes and equipment
- Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing and process data
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems related to process development and control
- Experience establishing product standards for materials, labor, and equipment
- Experience preparing capital expenditure proposals and technical justifications

- Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience applying Six Sigma tools
- Experience conducting process capability studies
- Experience analyzing process-control trends and production variability
- Experience developing item specifications and technical data sheets

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute qualification plans for new products and materials
- Verify process capability during product and material qualification
- Support new product development and production launch activities
- Provide process-engineering support for capital equipment projects
- Develop technical expertise in assigned manufacturing processes and equipment
- Create work instructions, operating procedures, and process documentation
- Train production personnel on new equipment and manufacturing processes
- Analyze process-control parameters, production trends, and equipment performance
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with production and maintenance personnel
- Identify sources of process variation, waste, and production inefficiency
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to continuous-improvement projects
- Develop and implement process improvements with quantifiable results
- Collect and analyze manufacturing, quality, and process data
- Prepare technical reports and present engineering recommendations
- Coordinate product design and tooling activities with planning and design teams
- Maintain item specifications, technical data sheets, and process standards
- Establish and review standards for material usage, labor, equipment, and production methods
- Maintain process documentation in accordance with GMP and ISO requirements
- Prepare capital expenditure proposals and supporting documentation
- Support capital-project approval, equipment implementation, and production integration
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
