Job Requirements

  • Advanced Siemens PLC programming experience
  • Ability to develop PLC programs from scratch
  • Experience commissioning and debugging automated manufacturing equipment
  • Experience supporting machine build, testing, and installation activities
  • Availability to work onsite in Wixom and Romulus, Michigan
  • Availability to work extended schedules, including 6–7 days per week, during commissioning periods
  • Ability to commute between project locations in southeastern Michigan

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SiFACS control standards
  • Experience supporting automotive powertrain manufacturing projects
  • Expert-level Siemens PLC programming experience
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal or STEP 7
  • Experience with HMI programming and controls integration
  • Experience with industrial networks, safety PLCs, motion controls, and automated equipment
  • Experience supporting equipment runoff, launch, commissioning, and production stabilization

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop Siemens PLC programs for automated manufacturing equipment
  • Create control logic from machine specifications and project requirements
  • Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, safety systems, and related controls
  • Test and debug control systems during machine build activities
  • Perform equipment runoff and verify operation before installation
  • Support machine installation and commissioning at customer facilities
  • Troubleshoot PLC logic, electrical controls, communications, and equipment issues
  • Modify control programs based on commissioning and production requirements
  • Apply SiFACS standards to powertrain equipment when applicable
  • Document program revisions, system configurations, and commissioning results
  • Provide onsite controls support through equipment launch and production stabilization


Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
