Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Experience performing mechanical engineering calculations and technical analysis
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis methods and tools
  • Ability to read, interpret, and revise engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of applicable engineering standards and manufacturing requirements
  • Experience evaluating nonconforming or deviant hardware
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations

Preferred Skills

  • Design liaison engineering experience
  • Rotor or rotating equipment assembly experience
  • Unit assembly or complex mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience developing rework and acceptance criteria
  • Experience supporting defect reduction initiatives
  • Experience with manufacturing process improvement
  • Experience conducting technical and engineering design reviews
  • Experience using internal engineering analysis and hardware evaluation tools

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate manufacturing issues affecting rotor and unit assembly operations
  • Define engineering solutions for manufacturing and assembly concerns
  • Analyze deviant hardware using hand calculations, CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools
  • Determine hardware acceptance, repair, or rework requirements
  • Conduct technical reviews to substantiate rework and acceptance criteria
  • Provide engineering support for nonconforming material and manufacturing deviations
  • Support defect reduction initiatives through improved engineering definitions and manufacturing processes
  • Revise engineering specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Evaluate proposed manufacturing process changes for engineering compliance
  • Document technical analyses, engineering decisions, and disposition requirements
  • Coordinate engineering changes with manufacturing, quality, and design functions


Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
