Project Manager
Project Manager responsible for managing industrial capital equipment projects from contract acceptance through engineering, fabrication, assembly, installation, and start-up.
Job Requirements
- Project management experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, or capital equipment environments
- Experience managing projects from contract acceptance through installation and start-up
- Experience creating and maintaining project schedules
- Experience managing project timelines across multiple departments
- Experience coordinating engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and service activities
- Experience supporting equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, and start-up
- Background in equipment mechanics
- Programming knowledge or experience
- Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
- Experience leading project teams without direct reporting authority
Preferred Skills
- Industrial capital equipment experience
- Heat processing equipment experience
- Oven, washer, or material handling equipment experience
- OEM manufacturing experience
- Experience reviewing customer specifications
- Experience reviewing equipment proposals and contract purchase orders
- Experience coordinating customer run-off and final acceptance criteria
- Experience coordinating equipment shipping
- Experience resolving manufacturing, design, and quality issues
- Continuous improvement experience in manufacturing processes or methods
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from contract acceptance through engineering, fabrication, assembly, installation, and start-up
- Work with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and service departments to establish project milestones
- Guide assigned projects through completion
- Review customer specifications
- Review equipment proposals
- Review contract purchase orders
- Create individual project schedules based on customer requirements and department workloads
- Maintain master project schedules across active projects
- Monitor project progress
- Report project status for current projects
- Communicate with customers and vendors to support project execution
- Support manufacturing departments during equipment build activities
- Support service departments during equipment installation activities
- Coordinate shipping between customer and manufacturing teams
- Prepare run-off criteria with customers
- Review final acceptance criteria with customers
- Coordinate equipment installation with customers and service teams
- Coordinate equipment start-up with customers and service teams
- Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and methods
Pay Details: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour
