NX Programmer (Okuma & Hass)
CNC programming role focused on 5-axis CAM programming, NX CAM, Okuma and Haas controls, Vericut verification, Renishaw probing, and shop floor machining support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience using graphical CAM systems
- Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using CAM software
- Experience with Siemens NX CAM
- 3+ years of experience with Okuma and Haas controls
- Experience generating and maintaining CNC programs for multi-axis milling, grinding, or EDM
- Experience with high-level machine tool controls
- Experience with sub-routine or macro programming
- Experience with Renishaw probing routines
- Experience with variable-based programming
- Experience with closed-loop machining
- Hands-on machinist background
- Experience setting up and proving out complex first-piece programs
- Experience managing tight tolerances on large-format equipment
- Experience accounting for part deflection, work hardening, and thermal stability during machining
- Experience machining nickel-based superalloys, including Inconel, Rene, or Hastelloy
- Heavy duty gas turbine or aerospace machining experience
- Experience using Vericut or other CNC verification and machine simulation software
- Familiarity with Haas and Okuma machine controls
- Ability to interpret drawing requirements
- Shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to manage multiple CNC projects concurrently

Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain CNC programs using NX CAM or other CAM software
- Create CNC programs for multi-axis milling, grinding, or EDM operations
- Verify new CNC programs using Vericut before shop floor release
- Incorporate on-machine probing using Renishaw cycles for part and process validation
- Build error trapping into CNC probing and machining routines
- Create CNC programs according to standards and qualified machining parameters
- Provide CNC programming support to manufacturing engineering
- Provide operator training during new machine startup, rebuilt machine startup, and process improvements
- Provide daily CNC programming support to shop floor operators
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues on the shop floor
- Support tooling requirements for CNC machine tools
- Support fixturing requirements for CNC machine tools
- Generate workstation instructions for CNC-related issues
- Support workstation methods for CNC-related issues
- Initiate process improvement projects related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery
- Lead CNC process improvement projects
- Coordinate CNC-related updates with appropriate team members
- Support CNC programming and process development in a matrixed manufacturing environment
Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
