Responsibilities

  • Lead the full commissioning program for hyperscale data center construction

  • Manage commissioning activities from construction turnover through L1–L5 integrated systems testing and final handover

  • Lead commissioning staffing plans, schedules, and budgets

  • Recruit, assign, and evaluate commissioning engineers and field technicians across multiple buildings

  • Develop and maintain the master Commissioning Execution Plan for each building

  • Integrate commissioning schedules with the P6 program schedule

  • Lead critical path activities from systems completion through final handover

  • Manage the commissioning risk register across the program

  • Escalate schedule and technical risks with mitigation plans and recovery dates

  • Lead L1 through L5 commissioning testing across electrical and mechanical systems

  • Manage generator load bank testing, UPS paralleling, STS and ATS transfer testing, chiller plant sequencing, and BMS/EPMS integration verification

  • Lead client-witnessed Integrated Systems Tests

  • Manage Pre-Startup Safety Reviews and client acceptance walks at ROMP milestone gates

  • Deliver Certificate of Readiness packages for client milestone requirements

  • Coordinate CFCI and OFCI equipment commissioning with OEM field service engineers

  • Manage OEM scheduling, witness testing, and documentation acceptance

  • Lead building energization sequence planning

  • Develop step-by-step energization procedures for utility, MSB, switchgear, UPS, PDU, and busduct distribution tiers

  • Manage FOD inspections at energization hold points

  • Provide commissioning sign-off before energization activities

  • Manage arc flash boundary controls and PPE requirements for energization activities

  • Coordinate utility interconnection approvals with the authority having jurisdiction

  • Develop and maintain the Project Specific Commissioning Manual

  • Develop building-level commissioning test packages

  • Maintain punch list documentation within the approved commissioning management platform

  • Publish weekly 3-week commissioning schedule look-aheads aligned to the P6 program schedule

  • Track commissioning completion percentages by system and building against ROMP milestones

  • Report commissioning status in client-facing weekly meetings

  • Manage commissioning records, including red-line drawings, as-built drawings, test reports, OEM startup records, exception logs, and COR packages

  • Upload commissioning records to the client system of record before milestone gate closure

  • Serve as the primary commissioning interface with the client Commissioning Authority and Mission Critical Operations team

  • Lead weekly commissioning workstream status reporting

  • Participate in client scorecard reviews

  • Respond to Commissioning Authority technical comments

  • Lead systemization using building-specific single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, and BMS/EPMS sequences of operation

  • Define system boundaries and assign system numbers

  • Manage system turnover packages from construction to commissioning

  • Enforce zero-punch-list-at-gate turnover requirements

  • Lead daily field-level commissioning standups

  • Lead weekly executive commissioning meetings

  • Distribute meeting minutes with owners, due dates, and RAG status

  • Manage open commissioning action item logs between project teams, subcontractors, OEMs, and client commissioning representatives

  • Coordinate with project controls to incorporate commissioning milestone dates into the P6 schedule and contractual milestone tracking

  • Identify and flag delay risks to critical path ROMP milestones

Pay: 80-90/hr

Pay Details: $80.00 to $90.00 per hour
