CAD Designer (CREO)
Mechanical Design Drafter responsible for production-ready mechanical and electro-mechanical designs, 3D modeling, manufacturing drawings, GD&T, documentation control, and engineering change management.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 2–10+ years of experience in mechanical design drafting
- Experience with electro-mechanical design drafting
- Experience with CAD design
- Experience with product development for manufactured systems
- Experience designing electro-mechanical assemblies
- Experience designing integrated systems combining mechanical structures and electrical components
- Experience with actuators, PCBs, sensors, housings, or instrumentation
- Proficiency with PTC Creo for 3D modeling
- Proficiency with PTC Creo for detailed drawings
- Proficiency with PTC Creo for production release documentation
- Experience creating complex part drawings
- Experience creating complex assembly drawings
- Experience applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with manufacturing-driven design
- Experience with machining, sheet metal, plastics, fabrication, and assembly processes
- Experience with engineering documentation control
- Experience with BOMs
- Experience with ECO/ECR changes
- Experience with revision management
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems
- Experience supporting full design lifecycle activities
- Experience converting engineering concepts into manufacturable designs
- Experience collaborating with mechanical engineering teams
- Experience collaborating with electrical engineering teams
- Experience supporting products from concept through release
- Experience developing production-ready designs for complex integrated systems
Responsibilities
- Develop production-ready mechanical designs using PTC Creo
- Develop production-ready electro-mechanical designs using PTC Creo
- Convert engineering concepts into detailed 3D models
- Create manufacturing drawings for complex integrated systems
- Design mechanical structures integrated with electrical components
- Support designs involving actuators, sensors, and electronic assemblies
- Create detailed part drawings
- Create detailed assembly drawings
- Apply GD&T to production drawings
- Support design detailing activities
- Support document control activities
- Manage BOM documentation
- Support ECO/ECR change processes
- Manage design revisions through PLM systems
- Support engineering change management
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams
- Collaborate with electrical engineering teams
- Support manufacturable product delivery from concept through release
Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
