Manufacturing Engineer responsible for standard work development, lean manufacturing initiatives, custom equipment design, and MRP data maintenance for mixed model manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Engineering or related technical education

  • Experience supporting mixed model manufacturing

  • Experience creating and developing standard work

  • Experience with 5S principles

  • Experience with Six Sigma principles

  • Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives

  • Experience with value stream mapping

  • Experience with SolidWorks

  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Experience creating and maintaining manufactured parts in an MRP system

  • Experience optimizing BOMs, routings, and manufacturing data

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience

  • Manufacturing engineering internship experience for entry-level candidates

  • Experience designing custom production equipment

  • Experience manufacturing custom production equipment

  • Experience improving plant efficiency and production processes

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop standard work to support mixed model manufacturing

  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using 5S and Six Sigma principles

  • Design custom equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

  • Manufacture custom equipment to improve plant efficiency

  • Optimize production processes through equipment and workflow improvements

  • Use value stream mapping to support lean manufacturing initiatives

  • Create manufactured parts in the MRP system

  • Maintain manufactured parts in the MRP system

  • Optimize BOMs, routings, and manufacturing data

  • Improve productivity and workflow accuracy through MRP data maintenance

Pay: 32-40/hr

Pay Details: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour
