Structural Engineer
Senior structural engineering role focused on industrial facility design, PE-licensed engineering, heavy industrial structures, project feasibility, and business development support.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree preferred
- Professional Engineer license in Nebraska
- Professional Engineer license in a state with Nebraska reciprocity may be considered if willing to obtain Nebraska PE license
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with heavy industrial structural engineering
- Experience with steel, concrete, and metal structures
- Experience with industrial facilities, including agricultural plants, biofuel plants, or food and beverage facilities
- Experience evaluating project technical requirements
- Experience applying standard engineering methods and principles to industrial facility design and modification
- Experience supporting business development activities
Preferred Skills
- Experience guiding designers in 3D modeling
- Experience with industrial facility modifications
- Experience preparing material take-offs
- Experience estimating materials, labor, and engineering effort
- Experience with project feasibility evaluations
- Experience with value engineering for industrial designs
Job Responsibilities
- Review project technical requirements
- Assess engineering effort required to meet project objectives
- Evaluate, select, and apply engineering methods and principles for industrial facility design
- Design and modify industrial facilities
- Guide designers in 3D modeling for structural models
- Provide material take-offs
- Assist with estimating materials, labor, and engineering effort
- Support project feasibility evaluations
- Support business development activities
- Assist with generating new customer opportunities
- Leverage networking connections for business development
- Provide value engineering for structural designs
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year
