Machinist

CNC machinist role focused on CNC mill setup, machining operations, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, CNC program modification, and tight-tolerance part production.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of machining experience

• CNC operation experience

• CNC vertical mill experience

• CNC horizontal mill experience

• Bridge mill experience

• Experience setting up machines

• Experience planning machining sequences

• Experience using machine tools, jigs, fixtures, and attachments

• GD&T experience

• Experience applying GD&T to machining work

• Blueprint reading experience

• Experience machining weldments

• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• Shop math knowledge

• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and tooling

• Ability to hold tight tolerances consistently

• Experience reading and modifying CNC programs

Preferred Skills

• Technical training in Machine Tool Technology

• Degree in Machine Tool Technology

• Experience writing simple CNC programs

• Experience diagnosing machining problems

• Experience solving tooling problems

• Experience performing CNC machine maintenance

• Experience machining product parts and tooling items

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, and bridge mills

• Perform machining operations using machine tools, jigs, fixtures, and attachments

• Machine product parts and tooling items to specification

• Read and interpret blueprints with GD&T requirements

• Apply GD&T requirements to machining operations

• Machine weldments to required specifications

• Follow standard work instructions

• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools

• Verify part quality and dimensional accuracy

• Diagnose and resolve machining and tooling issues

• Meet daily production and quality targets

• Perform machine maintenance and upkeep

• Read and modify CNC programs as needed

• Write programs for simple machining operations

Pay: 28-37/hr

Pay Details: $28.00 to $37.00 per hour
