Operate CNC and EDM production equipment to machine, inspect, deburr, and document manufactured parts according to specifications and work instructions.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of EDM, CNC, tooling production, or equivalent manufacturing experience

  • Experience operating CNC or EDM equipment

  • Background in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance

  • Ability to use tools and follow manufacturing work instructions

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work overtime as required, including occasional weekend shifts

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient shop math skills

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills

  • Experience using computerized shop floor tools

  • Ability to follow written instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environment

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environment

  • Experience working in multiple manufacturing areas

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations

  • Perform conventional milling, drilling, fast hole drilling, and graphite shaping operations

  • Machine metal castings, forgings, and bar stock according to specifications and setup instructions

  • Apply machining methods to complete production work

  • Lift, position, and secure workpieces on machine tables or holding devices manually or with material handling equipment

  • Select and install tooling according to process sheets

  • Load tools into automatic tool changers in the required sequence

  • Check programs at the start of each shift

  • Monitor numerical displays on control panels and compare data to process sheets

  • Verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and machining speeds

  • Record production inspection results in computer data systems

  • Inspect key dimensions for conformance to specifications using micrometers and precision dial gauges

  • Troubleshoot production problems and report unusual problems or conditions to supervision

  • Deburr parts according to specifications and machining practices

  • Maintain tools and measuring instruments supplied by the company

  • Follow safe machine operation and material handling procedures

Pay: 20-25/hr

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
