Manufacturing Engineer / Sr NX Programmer
CNC Programmer needed to generate, verify, release, and troubleshoot CNC programs for multi-axis machining, turning, grinding, and EDM operations.
Job Requirements
- Experience generating and maintaining CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software
- Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machines
- Experience with VMC, VBM, VTL, HBM, HMC, or EDM equipment
- Experience with wire EDM, sinker EDM, or fast hole EDM
- Experience working with Okuma, Haas, Siemens, or Fanuc controls
- Experience verifying CNC programs before shop floor release using Vericut
- Experience with high-level machine tool controls
- Experience with sub-routines, macros, Renishaw probing routines, and variable-based programming
- Experience with closed-loop machining
- Shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Experience machining high-temperature superalloys used in HDGT or aerospace components
Preferred Skills
- NX-CAM experience
- Multi-axis milling experience
- Turning, grinding, or EDM programming experience
- Manufacturing engineering support experience
- Experience training operators, programmers, or manufacturing engineers
- Experience troubleshooting CNC programs on the shop floor
- Experience working in a matrixed manufacturing environment
Job Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or related programming software
- Program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machines
- Support CNC programming for VMC, VBM, VTL, HBM, HMC, wire EDM, sinker EDM, and fast hole EDM equipment
- Work with Okuma, Haas, Siemens, and Fanuc machine controls
- Verify new CNC programs using Vericut before release to the shop floor
- Develop and support sub-routines, macros, Renishaw probing routines, and variable-based programming
- Support closed-loop machining processes
- Provide CNC programming support to manufacturing engineering
- Provide daily CNC programming and troubleshooting support to shop floor operators
- Support machining of high-temperature superalloys for HDGT or aerospace components
- Train operators, programmers, and manufacturing engineers as required
- Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, and shop floor production issues
Pay Details: $50.00 to $59.00 per hour
