Mechanical Design Engineer
Develops weldment and sheet metal designs and engineering drawings for heavy equipment using Creo CAD software.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with Creo CAD modeling software.
- Experience designing weldments.
- Experience designing sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience creating and modifying detailed mechanical drawings.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field may be considered.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience applying GD&T requirements to engineering drawings.
- Heavy equipment design experience.
- Experience developing fabrication drawings for welded and sheet metal assemblies.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and modify weldment and sheet metal designs for heavy equipment.
- Develop 3D CAD models using Creo.
- Produce detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Define dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements for components and assemblies.
- Interpret existing engineering drawings and design specifications.
- Apply GD&T requirements to drawings where applicable.
- Update designs and drawings based on engineering changes.
- Support development of production-ready documentation for welded and sheet metal components.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
