Mechanical Design Engineer

Develops weldment and sheet metal designs and engineering drawings for heavy equipment using Creo CAD software.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency with Creo CAD modeling software.
• Experience designing weldments.
• Experience designing sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience creating and modifying detailed mechanical drawings.
• Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field may be considered.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience applying GD&T requirements to engineering drawings.
• Heavy equipment design experience.
• Experience developing fabrication drawings for welded and sheet metal assemblies.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and modify weldment and sheet metal designs for heavy equipment.
• Develop 3D CAD models using Creo.
• Produce detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Define dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements for components and assemblies.
• Interpret existing engineering drawings and design specifications.
• Apply GD&T requirements to drawings where applicable.
• Update designs and drawings based on engineering changes.
• Support development of production-ready documentation for welded and sheet metal components.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
