Engine Integration Field Follow Coordinator
Support engine and vehicle field reliability activities, failure investigations, test unit tracking, and corrective action follow-up for earthmoving equipment programs.
Job Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with exposure to engine integration, vehicle systems, field reliability, product validation, or related engineering activities
- Basic knowledge of field failure investigation processes
- Experience or exposure supporting inspections and equipment teardowns
- Experience tracking test units, machine status, operating hours, and configuration changes
- Knowledge of corrective action and root cause investigation processes
- Ability to document technical findings, issue status, and follow-up actions
- Ability to support field machine repairs, inspections, and configuration updates
- Ability to organize and track multiple technical issues across engineering and field support activities
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience with engine integration or vehicle systems
- Experience supporting Failure Review Boards or similar technical review forums
- Exposure to vehicle test schedule meetings, design reviews, or validation reviews
- Internship, co-op, project, or early-career experience in field follow, product validation, vehicle testing, engine systems, or product adoption
- Experience with oil sampling and oil condition monitoring
- Experience with extended oil change interval evaluations
- Experience with fuel filter testing
- Experience with starter vibration testing or evaluation
- Experience investigating exhaust component wear or related field reliability issues
- Experience coordinating part returns and supplier data requests
- Experience collecting field load profiles
- Experience supporting model development or data analysis
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
Job Responsibilities
- Review field issue events and document relevant technical details
- Recommend issue disposition with guidance from senior engineering personnel
- Communicate failure information and status updates to engineering and vehicle program teams
- Coordinate vehicle and engine updates for field test units
- Support field machine repairs, inspections, teardowns, oil sampling, and configuration changes
- Track test unit locations, operating hours, machine status, and open actions
- Maintain follow-up items from test schedule meetings, vehicle reviews, and design reviews
- Prepare and lead weekly field follow meetings
- Document issue status and corrective action items
- Support part returns and supplier communication following field failures
- Coordinate load profile collection and root cause investigation activities
- Track corrective actions through issue resolution
- Participate in failure review boards, technical reviews, program reviews, and field support activities
- Support oil condition monitoring, fuel filter testing, starter evaluations, and other field reliability investigations
- Prepare technical summaries and program status updates
- Support product adoption reviews and program readiness meetings
- Assist with issue prioritization, field follow planning, and structured problem-solving activities
Pay Details: $35.00 to $41.00 per hour
