Creates lightweight, simulation-ready 3D CAD models and geometry for automated meshing and finite element analysis workflows.
Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Proficiency with Creo CAD software
- Bachelor of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience creating and simplifying 3D part and assembly models
- Ability to remove noncritical features, components, fasteners, brackets, and surface details from CAD models
- Ability to prepare geometry for automated meshing and simulation
- Experience validating basic mesh quality in Altair HyperMesh
- Knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, load paths, and boundary conditions
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of finite element analysis concepts
- Knowledge of meshing and simulation workflows
- Experience with CAE Nexus
- Experience with Simmetrix Fluid Connection
- Experience with EASA
- Experience with Altair HyperMesh
Job Responsibilities
- Create 3D CAD models in Creo that are compatible with CAE Nexus
- Simplify detailed part and assembly models into lightweight, analysis-ready approximations
- Remove minor features and suppress components that do not contribute to primary load paths
- Simplify surfaces and geometry to reduce node and element counts
- Prepare geometry for automated meshing and simulation processes
- Conduct basic mesh validation using Altair HyperMesh
- Configure models to support boundary conditions, forces, and constraints
- Verify that simplified models preserve required engineering and structural characteristics
- Support reduced simulation solving times through effective model abstraction
- Coordinate model requirements with engineering and analysis teams
- Resolve geometry and model compatibility issues affecting simulation workflows
Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
