Quality Assurance Manager
Manages plant quality systems, inspections, audits, laboratory operations, corrective actions, PPAP activities, and quality assurance personnel within a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing
Knowledge of statistical methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis
Experience with ISO 9001 audits and quality management systems
Experience managing Production Part Approval Process documentation and submissions
Experience with Corrective and Preventive Action systems
Experience managing nonconforming material and root-cause investigations
Knowledge of manufacturing control plans, product specifications, and quality standards
Experience with quality inspection systems and calibration programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, charts, formulas, and data analysis
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality
Tire manufacturing or materials experience
Three or more years of supervisory experience
Lean Manufacturing experience
Six Sigma experience
Supplier quality and customer quality experience
Laboratory operations and testing-method experience
Experience managing NCRs and returned-goods authorizations
Experience developing digital quality dashboards and reporting tools
Job Responsibilities
Manage Quality Assurance personnel and daily plant quality activities
Oversee inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods
Verify compliance with product specifications, control plans, and quality standards
Maintain customer and supplier quality requirements, PPAP status, and corrective-action records
Lead improvements to quality systems, procedures, documentation, and digital reporting tools
Manage customer quality ratings, certifications, and performance requirements
Maintain quality indicators, dashboards, metrics, and reporting schedules
Oversee quality equipment, inspection facilities, laboratory operations, calibration systems, testing methods, training records, and data integrity
Maintain product and process management systems supporting manufacturing control plans and specifications
Provide quality data and findings to departments responsible for process improvement
Coordinate ISO 9001:2015 audits, internal audits, supplier audits, and compliance activities
Investigate nonconforming materials and manage NCR, RGA, root-cause, and CAPA processes
Oversee PPAP preparation, submission, documentation, and customer approval
Coordinate quality issues and systemic improvements across manufacturing locations
Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects focused on defect reduction and process improvement
Develop technical training for Quality Assurance personnel
Pay: 75000-105000/year

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
