Quality engineering role focused on tactical production support, fabrication and assembly quality, PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Manufacturing quality engineering experience
  • Experience supporting production operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience investigating product and process issues
  • Experience developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Experience supporting fabrication and assembly quality
  • Experience reducing defects, rework, and warranty issues
  • Experience with quality tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, DPAR, PPAP, DMAIC, and Six Sigma
  • Experience with PFMEA maintenance and execution
  • Experience with control plan maintenance and execution
  • Experience supporting containment activities
  • Experience with root cause investigations
  • Experience interpreting drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical production support for manufacturing operations
  • Investigate product and process issues in a manufacturing environment
  • Develop corrective and preventive action solutions
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
  • Lead quality engineering support for fabrication and assembly
  • Drive defect, rework, and warranty reduction through systematic problem solving
  • Own PFMEA maintenance and execution
  • Own control plan maintenance and execution
  • Support mistake-proofing and risk mitigation for product and process changes
  • Participate in warehouse hold containment activities
  • Conduct root cause investigations for quality issues
  • Implement corrective actions for contained product and process issues
  • Respond to daily tactical quality issues in production
  • Support product and process improvement activities
  • Lead quality improvement projects for the business unit
  • Analyze Qnote and quality data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support dynamic control plan execution
  • Analyze warranty data to support quality improvements
  • Support factory engineering initiatives related to smart-connected factory systems
  • Support technology and analytics capability initiatives
  • Track and support performance targets for safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency


Pay Details: $33.00 to $44.00 per hour
