Manufacturing Associate I
Manufacturing Associate responsible for operating production equipment, supporting chemical manufacturing processes, packaging products, and maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
Job Requirements
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Ability to follow safety, quality, security, and operational policies and procedures
Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures
Basic understanding of industrial safe work practices
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment operation
Basic quality inspection knowledge
Basic math skills with ability to apply math in a work environment
Ability to monitor multiple production processes at the same time
Ability to understand and follow posted facility signage
Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
Understanding of hazard communication policies
Familiarity with standard operating procedures and operator manuals for safe equipment operation
Ability to use required PPE for assigned tasks
Ability to complete housekeeping responsibilities in a plant environment
Ability to demonstrate understanding of safety rules and regulations after training through written or verbal examination
Required vision of 20/20 or corrected 20/20
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel
Ability to perform repetitive physical work under varying climate conditions
Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures and physical requirements
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Skills
Forklift experience
Experience reading and working with SOPs
Experience working with chemicals or light chemical manufacturing
Experience supporting equipment startup and shutdown activities
Experience with autonomous maintenance activities
Experience training laborers or production associates
Experience performing safety audits
Experience attending or supporting safety meetings
Job Responsibilities
Perform production tasks from raw material handling through final product packaging
Operate production equipment and control manufacturing processes as instructed or trained
Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
Use proper PPE for each assigned task and maintain PPE in safe working condition
Monitor product quality throughout the production process
Notify supervisors of potential out-of-compliance quality issues
Perform startup and shutdown activities as directed
Participate in cross-training across production line positions
Maintain accurate counts and production documentation for products produced or used
Keep production lines organized, clean, and free of hazards
Perform housekeeping responsibilities in assigned production areas
Grease, adjust, or clean specific production line components in support of autonomous maintenance activities
Support safety targets established by supervisors and management
Train laborers and new Manufacturing Associates as assigned
Perform General Laborer duties as needed to meet production needs
Attend safety meetings and conduct safety audits
Apply lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and safe equipment operation procedures
Pay: 17-18/hr

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
