Job Description:
This position will work as part of a small team to manage a Unix/Microsoft-based DoD network (SIPRNet-Secret Internet Protocol Router Network), including all servers, workstations & laptops, network connectivity, & end user support. Responsible for the planning & execution of upgrades, installations, monitoring & management tools, security practices & overall corporate support architecture. Responsible for daily monitoring & maintenance of servers, backups, managing an inventory database (hardware & software assets). Additional responsibilities include researching, developing & implementing solutions to maintain & enhance current systems, providing 3rd, 2nd & occasionally 1st tier support to user base & other IS staff. The Converged Infrastructure Engineer will also work with the site IS Manager & ISSM (Information Systems Security Manager) & ISSO (Information Systems Security Officer), implementing & enforcing security & system policies in accordance with corporate requirements & Department of Defense requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
• DNS & DHCP experience
• Strong UNIX server administration (RHEL6 & 7, Solaris)
• Scripting skills Python, Bash &/or Perl experience
• Extensive knowledge & experience in supporting & troubleshooting Solaris networking services & protocols: TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, HTTP.
• Experience in managing & maintaining Windows Active Directory, Domain Trusts & Group Policy implementation
• Experience in the use of Windows workstation & server operating systems, in the physical & virtual environments. (Windows 2008/2012 – Windows 7 / 10)
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management & organizational skills.
• Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.  
 
Requirements:
Experience Requirements:
• Secret clearance required, Top Secret preferred.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting classified network environment.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of advanced RHEL/Linux administration
• Ability to travel (if applicable): Travel expectation of 0% – 10%
Education/Certifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator) preferred.
• RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) preferred.
