Job Description:
We are looking for a Swiss Screw Machine Programmer and Operator. The primary responsibility of the Swiss Screw Machine Programmer and Operator is to support new and existing projects using programming, setup, and operating expertise to produce a finished Swiss machine part from a 3d Model and or Part Print.   This position will also be responsible for the documentation, implementation, validation and release of all process related to the Swiss screw machine.
Essential job functions:
Manage Projects and Activities-  
• Determine required activities and critical paths to deliver work on time.
• Manage your schedule and priorities to support multiple projects and activities.
• Manage to milestones and reach project completion in a timely fashion.  
• Report on progress on a regular basis via postings and status updates.  
• Participate in all phases of the Swiss screw machine development process including Planning, Implementation, Validation and Release.  
• Continually follow and improve the Swiss screw machine processes, completing checklists.
• Create and maintain documentation, such as work instructions and procedure flow charts.
Program, Setup, and Operate the Swiss Screw Machine-
• Provide programming and program proofing for single/multi spindle Swiss screw machine.
• Setup Swiss screw machine by following setup instruction with little supervision, including setting tool registers and offsets.
• Produce a finished Swiss Machine part which meets all requirements for quality and efficient production.
• Contribute ideas and suggestions with others, participating as a constructive team member.  
• Perform job-related activities as required or assigned.
Support Quality & Production-
• Plan quality requirements and ensure that sample requests are executed as desired.
• Support Quality in sampling, inspection, NCR’s, analysis and quality related decisions.
• Support Production with quality related decisions, dispositions, and shut-downs if required.
• Participate in corrective/preventive action activities, when needed.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Stop production when conditions adversely affect product quality.
Essential Requirements:  
• Must have experience programming, setting up and operating CNC Swiss Machines.
• Must have diploma in a machining related course from a technical or trade school or equivalent experience.
• Must have a machining experience with medical components, devices or instruments.
• Must understand GD&T.
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Must have good troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to visualize concepts from blueprints to actuality.
• Must be able to interface with all departments and customers professionally and courteously.
• Must have attention to detail.
Work environment:  A portion of work is performed in an office environment while a portion of work is performed in a production area with a moderately loud noise level due to production machines.
Tools and equipment-
• Computers with programming software (TiSiS), microscope, gauges and inspection fixtures
• Tornos Swiss Nano with Tryton bar feeder
