Job Description:
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring specification compliance and will initiate raw material improvement efforts.  
Job Duties:
• Use various Six Sigma tools such as statistical process control, root cause analysis, cause and effect diagrams, FMEAs, process flow maps, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments to identify key process input variable trends and assist suppliers in continuous improvement programs
• Develop and maintain data driven specifications in partnership with R&D as applicable
• Develop and maintain test methods for performing raw material audits
• Conduct measurement systems assessments for various raw material inspection methods
• Initiate nonconformance reports and corrective actions for nonconforming material and assist in defect identification and troubleshooting where necessary with suppliers
• Work cross-functionally with Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, and R&D to conduct root cause analysis on raw material problems that may arise during manufacturing that relate to supplier processing parameters
• Determine disposition for nonconforming materials and products while partnering with Supply Chain
• Support supplier performance management program by monitoring and reporting quality, service, and partnership of various suppliers
• Timely communication of issues, concerns, documentation, or procedural changes and other evaluations throughout the company as required
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
• Two to four years of related experience with Quality and/or Supply Chain preferred
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, IS0 9001:2015 and/or GMP experience, American Society of Quality Certification as Quality Engineer preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visio
• Must have ability to write complex documents such as technical reports, work instructions and ability to convey technical information.
• Minitab, or other comparable statistical software, experience is desired
• Ability to learn new software programs as required for data collection through various measurement systems
• Optical microscopy experience preferred, but not required
• Experience with advanced material characterization techniques preferred, but not required
