JOB DESCRIPTION
 
SMT Electronic Assembler
Manufacturing, inspecting, and testing electronic components and/or other related assemblies or material subcomponents within specified time, safety, and quality requirements
• Inspect and rework, if necessary, boards and mounted components for compliance to IPC-610 standards
• Solder components onto boards that were not mounted via the pick and place machine
• By soldering, using bare wire, join similar boards together
• Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Performs on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• May perform assembly operations under microscope or with another magnifying device.
• Hand soldering onto printed circuit boards

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Good finger dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with SMT and PTH soldering
• 1-2 years of experience in hand placement and soldering in production
• Must be able to read and write in English language and accurately perform basic math problems
• Be reliable and dependable
• Able to work as an integrated team member and get along with co-workers
• IPC-610 training/certification
• Electronic component assembly – cables and harnesses
• Focus on quality
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:  Will train as needed.
• Hot air rework station
• Pneumatic solder paste
• Electronic testing (DVM)
