Job Description:
The position of Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for conducting physical testing including destructive and non-destructive testing on product and packaging within the context of stability studies, complaints, and root cause analysis.
• Conduct physical testing including destructive and non-destructive testing on product and packaging within the context of stability studies, complaints, and root cause analysis. Report test results and conclusions.
• Perform as expert in the use, review and improvement of test standards. Participate in test standard validations/crossovers, train others as required on test methods, or collect/analyze statistical data.
• Maintain laboratory and test equipment in safe and clean condition, perform regular required tests on equipment and keep records, and maintain adequate inventory of testing materials and supplies.
• Excellent computer Skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel and Word)
• Good communications skills, both written and oral.
• Must be able to clearly, honestly document all work in a Technical Notebook.
• Complete special requests from engineers, group leaders, and/or supervisor.
 
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• High school/G.E.D. level of education or equivalent experience through training
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
• The job primarily involves work while standing or walking, and also in non-confined sitting positions. Finger/hand manipulation is utilized, together with physical effort that includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. The job involves visual as well as mental concentration.
Preferred Qualifications:
• ASQ Certification as a Quality Technician or satisfactory progress toward certification is desired
• Knowledge and experience working in a health care or regulated business environment
• Understanding of basic concepts of measurement systems, testing, and calibration are required
• Ability to review data/documents for accuracy and consistency
• Demonstrated ability to meticulously keep accurate, up-to-date records and procedures to assure compliance to applicable standards
• Ability to communicate in a cross-functional environment
