Mechanical and electrical review, strong computer skills, and remanufacturing exp. will be priority. Personality is a strong component. ISO, repair station, and supplier quality engineering are less important. Will be working with a team of 4 (replacing a previous member) and working with 1 other Quality Engineer and under the Manager of Mission Assurance. Looking to interview ASAP.  
Engineer, Mission Assurance job description:
• Possess the ability to manage all quality functions on a program by program basis.
• Effectively interpret and flow down customer quality requirements to engineering, manufacturing and inspection is required
• Review and approval of drawings, work instructions, requisitions, procedures and test plans.
• Generation of program quality plans when required must be prepared.
• Institute lean principles to streamline the inspection function
• Participate in the material review board committee
• Contract review and flow down of requirements
• Manage and coordinate QA activities for specific customers
• Ability to work across all functional organizations
• Track and maintain metrics for performance
• Position works 9/80 work week and may require limited travel.
• Must be able to absorb responsibilities out of primary function
 
Requirements:
Look for experienced candidate (3/5 years’ experience). Lean manufacturing experience a plus. Bachelor’s degree a plus, but experience is more important. Print reading and corrective action experience preferred. Experience w/ Microsoft Suite re’d. Need to be able to create metrics, run analysis, and present info. internally. Repair station exp. a plus. Must be a team – player.
Minimum Qualification:
• BS in engineering discipline plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience. (4 years of additional experience may be considered in place of education.)
• Must possess strong mechanical comprehension capability and background in geometric dimensioning
• Mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering drawing interpretation and review
• Ability to interpret project requirements and workmanship procedures and impose requirements
• Review work instructions against engineering drawings and procedures
• Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office (must have strong Excel skills)
• Comfortable working in various office, manufacturing, lab and shop environments
Preferred Qualification:
• Experience with Government standard 8210.1
• ISO 9001:2008 QMS
• Six sigma or lean manufacturing experience.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience in FAA Part 145 Repair Station Quality system
